This book is so powerful, even the way it comes into your life becomes part of the story before you even begin reading it.
For me, it came up again and again in conversation with a good friend until she finally gave me her copy. Before I could read it, she was in a fatal accident and in my grief I forgot about the book for awhile. Until just the right moment when I picked it up and the first page read:
"Wildlife and the Wild Woman are both endangered species."
The wild woman who had shared the book with me was already gone, leaving me feeling more alone and endangered than ever.
As I slowly made my way through the stories, I remembered countless conversations that inspired my friend to bring up this book, and now they were coming into context. It was like getting to finish all those conversations with her from the other side, through story.
I love hearing how the Wild Woman archetype found other women, and I would love to invite you to join in this conversation! I'm hosting a book club beginning November 6, where we'll read through these archetypal stories and process them together with journal prompts, conversation and community and art therapy projects.
If you already have a copy, AWESOME - I wanna hear how it found you! If not, you can find it here:
I may receive a small commission from sales purchased thru thru this Amazon link to help cover the cost of hosting the book club.
